If I had only gotten XMod sooner I could have saved lots of time and some $ that I spent on other modules. This is a great way of doing custom development in DNN, without building a lot of individual modules. I have only had it 1 day and it is working great. The possibilities seem endless. Thanks so much!

Intranets these days are becoming more and more popular. With an overwhelming acceptance of Internet related technology, businesses & organisations are getting on board the Intranet train. DotNetNuke proudly advertises themselves as a fantastic portal technology for Websites, Intranet and Extranets. But the number of customisable modules to assist with Intranet related content is limited.

It is only natural that DNN Administrators will want modules that will assist them to store internal information on their intranet such as staff details and information about the venues that the staff work at. I have developed a number of intranets over time, and a lot of the features are exactly the same. I decided to create an Intranet with two XMP modules linking each other. This month’s video tutorials are about building an Intranet in XMP.

I suspect that many DNN developers are able to do this. However, I also suspect that a number of DNN developers will take my code and make it their own with some minor customisations!

As I did not post last month (due to organising a marriage proposal :P), I have put in a massive effort this month. With over 2 hours of video and 7 attached resource files, this month is a big one.

Please continue to post video tutorials requests on the website, http://www.xmodtutorials.com and I will hopefully get to all of them.

Re: Getting on board the Intranet train

Keep up the good work Ryan. As someone who just got married, I know how time-consuming the process is :) Congrats!
