I'm currently on day 6 of using XMod and feeling power crazed by my results already. Thanks guys, I'm becoming a megalomaniac.

We've pushed out a new feature and maintenance release for XMod. We love our customers so 5.1 is a free upgrade for you if you purchased 5.0. Read on for what's new and changed.
XMod 5.1.0 for DotNetNuke 4.3/4.4 and 4.5+
I'm pleased to release the latest version of XMod 5 - version 5.1.0.
This is a new feature and maintenance release for XMod 5.0 and is recommended for all users running DotNetNuke 4.3 or later. In this release, we've fixed a number of outstanding bugs and added a number of features targeted at making it easier to do more with XMod. Please note that we have some comments/ratings fixes listed in this release. For those of you following the comments/ratings thread on our forums, we are still planning on an overhaul of this sub-system, but wanted to push out the fixes we did have so you could benefit from them if you chose to do so.
PS: Keep an eye out. In the coming weeks we have a couple of additional XMod-related releases we're planning :)
- ADDED: New XMod Constant {XMOD_CurrentCulture} retrieves the currently selected culture name. For example: en-US or en-GB or es-MX, etc. While XMod's normal localization facilities makes it easy to change text based on the culture, this adds a level of flexibility by allowing you to, for instance, include checks for specific cultures in your Javascript code.
- ADDED: New CAPTCHA form control. Based on the DNN CAPTCHA control, the new <captcha> tag enables you to better protect your XMod form from 'bots.
- ENHANCEMENT: <info> tag. We've significantly enhanced the venerable <info> tag. It now functions much like the <xmod:toggle> tag does in display templates. You can now specify that the control displays as a hyperlink, button, or clickable image. You also have the ability to include basic HTML in the text that gets hidden/displayed. Finally, you can also style the toggle and the panel containing your text.
- NEW Maximum Submissions Limit: In previous versions of XMod, you could limit a user to 1 submission per form. Now we've opened it up to allow you to limit the user to 2 or 3 or 10 or ... submissions per form.
- NEW Default Approval Filter: In previous versions, XMod defaulted to showing only approved records. Now, you can configure your modules to default to showing approved records, un-approved records, or both. You can also specify whether the approval filter selection drop-down box appears.
- NEW Javascript Helper to Get Checkbox List and Radio Button List Items: We heard you on the forums, struggling to find a way to easily get at individual items in these controls. Now you can. See the "Using Javascript" topic in the help file for the details.
- ENHANCEMENT: Nestable <xmod:format> tags. You heard that right. Most of the time, performing one format operation on your data is enough. However, sometimes you really need to format your data (say replace some characters) and then feed that result to another format tag for further processing. To do this now, all you need to do is nest one tag inside the other. See the <xmod:format> tag topic in the help file for examples.
- ENHANCEMENT: Ability to format the Post Date of comments
- FIXED: XMod managers searching Dates causes exception
- FIXED: Some form designers not showing Apply button
- FIXED: Ratings not working in Detail templates.
- FIXED: Display/Expiry date in data managers fails for non-US systems.
- FIXED: Localization not processed when form contains <parameters> or <variables> tags.
- FIXED: Cannot edit record if Friendly URL's is turned off in DNN but Encrypt URL's is turned on in XMod.
- FIXED: Approval filter selector disappears when returning from inline detail view.
- FIXED: Rich Text Editor - <xmod:field> tags embedded as values to <img> tags do not format properly in IE.
- FIXED: [[localize]] function does not work in inline detail views.
- FIXED: User IP not being logged correctly in comments.
- FIXED: User rating shows automatically in comment post
- FIXED: Comments - Prev/Next buttons do not fire click event when display is set to "ImageButton"
- FIXED: Comments - Approval not working
- FIXED: Comments/Ratings: After posting comment or rating, user does not stay on current page.
- FIXED: Comments/Ratings: Delete isn't functioning
- FIXED: Rich Text Editor - Error with return button losing quotes for attributes.
HOW TO GET 5.1:
The patch is available now at Snowcovered for existing 5.0 owners. You can also purchase 5.1 from Snowcovered. We will be rolling this release out to the DNN Marketplace within a couple of days.
Warm Regards,
Kelly
