Hi Kelly,

Please, please, please can you consider adding the following:

1) Randomly select a record

2) Ability to multiselect more than one category

3) Ability to use recordid as a parameter filter value. You can pass the recordid as a URL parameter fine, I just can't restrict the result set based on the record id

4) Grab url parameter values for use in templates. Works great with forms but I also need them to work with templates.

Of course if we can already do any of the above, please let me know how.

Many thanks
Liz

Hi Liz,

Thanks for your input.

1) Not available yet, but we're looking into it.
2) I assume you mean on a form? If so, you can put multiple category chooser control on a form ot allow selection of multiple categories.
3) Are you looking to display a record's detail view? If so, that is available in 4.3 and later. See the "How Do I Make XMod Display a Record's Details" topic in the help file.
4) I am working on adding this as well.

Best,
Kelly

Hey Liz,

Sorry, I forgot. the #4 in your list is there already. Use:

{XMOD_Parameter:paramName}

where "paramName" is the name of the paramter.

Best,
Kelly

Please note: this XMod constant is undocumented. It will be an "official" feature in the upcoming release of XMod. Please let me know if you run into any problems.

Best,
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for your replies.

1) Great - that would be really great

2) the categories - no I mean in the XMod config where you select which category. I want to be able to choose more than one category. Currently you can only select one cetgory to by filter by.

3) Oops, sorry, thanks for pointing that out.

4) It works for me - fantastic feature and will be a big time and maintenance saver

5) sneaking in another request - it would be great if the categories could also be set by URL parameter

Thanks again for your help. You really do deliver top customer service!!!

Liz

Like Liz on #2/#5 we'd love to be able to filter on more than one url parameter.
