I am on a DNN 4.8.4 core I get this error
Could not load file or assembly 'KnowBetter.XMod, Version=5.0.0.31447, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
even thoug it says that this is optional nothing else works when I click on it just blank pages. Please help I have installed all patches from snowcovered.

RSS Reader requires XMod to be installed because it uses XMod as its display engine.
FYI, if you do have XMod installed, you install RSS Reader as a normal DNN module, not as an XMod package.
Finally, if you are running XMod, make sure the version you are running matches the XMod version that RSS Reader is expecting. There are versions for XMod 5+ as well as 4.7 and below.

OK I did not catch that i needed XMOD prior to installing the module. Sorry for seeming like a newbie, Im not really :-) OK just to make sure I am getting the right thing is this the link to the correct item to purchase on snowcovered.

Hi Doug,
Yes, that is the correct version. Also, in your Patches & Hotfixes section now, you should find an RSS Reader version for XMod 5. That is the version you'll need to install with XMod 5+.
